Gallery Event Rental

Our beautiful gallery space is available for rental for private events. Centrally located in downtown Nashville on the Avenue of the Arts, the gallery offers an intimate and engaging backdrop for events, receptions and meetings. We can accommodate groups up to 80 people. 1.    What is Tinney Contemporary?

  • Tinney Contemporary is Nashville's premier modern art gallery. It specializes in investment grade collectible art. It is also available for rent as an event space with a cool sophisticated atmosphere.

2.    Where is Tinney Contemporary?

  • Tinney Contemporary is in the heart of downtown. Our address is 237 5th Avenue North, between Church and Union Streets, in the ground floor of the Kress Building. It is an easy walk to most downtown hotels, The Ryman Auditorium, The Hermitage Hotel, The State Capitol Building, The Convention Center, The Tennessee Performing Arts Center, The Country Music Hall of Fame, and The Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
3.    What is the rental fee? 
  • The rental fee is $200 per hour for events Tuesday through Saturday, 5pm to 11pm. 
  • The rental fee is $300 per hour for events during normal business hours (11am to 5pm), on Sundays and on Mondays. 
  • In addition, there is a $150 non-refundable cleaning fee and a $1,000 refundable security deposit. 
  • There is a 4 hour minimum for all events that starts at load-in and ends once everything is out of the gallery.

4.    What is included in the rental fee?

  • The rental fee includes the use of Tinney Contemporary's space, 1500 square feet comprised of the main room and a smaller second room. The rental fee also includes an on-sight manager.

5.    Is there a deposit due at time of contract?

  • Yes. If more than 60 days out from the event date, a 50% non-refundable deposit is due at time of contract. If within 60 days of the event, a 100% non-refundable deposit is due at time of contract.

6.    What is Tinney Contemporary's capacity?

  • The maximum capacity at Tinney Contemporary depends on the style of event. For stand up cocktail parties, the maximum capacity is 80 people. For seated lectures, the maximum capacity is 60 people. For sit down dinners, the maximum capacity is 50 people.

7.    Can I (or my caterer) provide and/or serve my own alcohol?

  • Yes. Tinney Contemporary does not provide or serve alcohol. All alcohol provided and served by vendor or client must conform to all TN State Laws.

8.    Can I bring in my own vendors?

  • Yes. Insurance requirements are outlined in the licensing agreement.

9.    When can I load-in?

  • The load-in schedule is contingent on the needs of your event and the schedule at the building for the day.

10.    Where do I park?

  • Tinney Contemporary is within walking distance of most downtown hotels. Parking is available in surface lots off of 5th Avenue and Church Street, and 5th Avenue and Union Street. Valet parking can also be arranged.

11.    What is your smoking policy?

  • Smoking is not allowed inside Tinney Contemporary property.

12.     Is there additional power available for sound and lights?

  • Yes. Please check with on-sight manager for availability and limitations.

13.     Do you have wireless Internet available?
