Artist Konstantin Dimopoulos’s “Blue Tree in a Red Landscape” Wins Prestigious Award

Artist Konstantin Dimopoulos' sculpture Blue Tree in a Red Landscape won the prestigious Australian Steel Institute Award today, the first time that a sculpture has received this award. The piece, "a monumental sculpture of intense blue rising out a black slate pool", was installed in 2010 at the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria's Healesville Country Club in Australia in commemoration of the Black Saturday Victorian bush fires in 2009. The artist's next project will be the installation of a public sculpture in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
