Sai Clayton

Exhibitions

Group exhibition, Clear Mirror, 2024

Sai Clayton works with a variety of mediums to convey the intersection of Asian biraciality and womanhood in American culture. Investigating what she refers to as ‘the multitudes of self,’ Clayton’s work gives form to her heritage by exploring the self-portrait as a vessel for racial representation and the transcultural experience.

Sai is a Nashville-based visual artist and curator. Her recent exhibitions include: Game of Two Halves, Electric Shed (2024), HĀFU, Random Sample (2023), Distinct Impressions, COOP Gallery (2023); Graphic, Random Sample (2022); Poetics of Materiality, Wavelength Space (2022); Art of the South, Zeitgeist (2022); and Drawers, Adult Contemporary (2022). She currently serves on the board of COOP Gallery and is the Executive Director of Number: INC magazine.
